Featured in portuguese blog Coisas da Interwebs. Have an awesome weekend. If you could please share this feature, I'd really appreciate it, as lots of hard work goes into finding and selecting all the awesome art and running the blog. Thanks! www.coisasdainterwebs.com/2014…
They never found Carmen Sandiego, because she had frozen herself in cryo-sleep. Once awake in the far distant future, some kid who seems a lot smarter than she would expect him to be leads her to her ship, where her cargo is waiting. Soon thereafter, she means to thaw out Waldo and, then, they will be off together to a new adventure and a new frontier.
I like those angles on the ship. It seems like there is a sort of lens distortion that gives this scene a more epic feel.
All those tires on the bottom makes the ship look VERY HEAVY. They must have some powerful engines on that thing.
It's probably on purpose, so you probably know, but the lady in red gives off a major color contrast making her a natural focal point. However, she contrasts a lot with the kid next to her, and because of the focal point, you are drawn to the disparity of detail of these two characters. I think that, in general, the gradual reduction of detail into the distance is actually pretty cool.
Well at least we know where Carmen San Diego has been all of these years...the future!
But aside from that a very well proportion picture, not that I am one to judge seeing as I work in the none visual medium of writing. But still, lady in red, a kid obviously enjoying seeing the ship, what a story there is to tell from a humble picture. Very well done.
